FLIP is the Midlands’ only animation festival. Organised by Light House Media Centre in Wolverhampton, FLIP aims to celebrate animation produced regionally, nationally and internationally and to inspire and entertain people of all ages. Following the success of the first FLIP in 2004, this year’s festival is held over three days at venues in Wolverhampton and Birmingham. The programme is packed with screenings, debates, hands-on workshops, demonstrations and opportunities to hear from industry specialists.

FLIP is a Light House led initiative part-funded by Screen West Midlands (supported by the National Lottery through the UK Film Council), Wolverhampton City Council and supported by Wolverhampton Art Gallery and the University of Wolverhampton.

Single tickets £2 (£1.50 conc) can be purchased subject to availability for individual festival events, apart from the Teachers' Animation Workshop and screenings of 'Howl's Moving Castle'. Single tickets cannot be bought in advance.

Festival passes do not include the Teacher’s Animation Workshop, which is £35. Free events are indicated in the festival programme.
